The Slovenian company Matador, part of the Continental Group, has launched the MP 62 All Weather Evo tyre on the market, an all-season tyre with a directional profile, designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars, characterised by increased driving stability in all types of weather, improved braking and traction performance and reduced risk of aquaplaning. The optimised tread design, with massive and stable shoulder blocks, increases the rigidity of the model and ensures better steering reaction on dry roads, allowing for controlled handling and cornering stability. The V-groove layout design and the numerous grooves on the surface of the blocks in the centre of the tread create additional gripping edges that reduce braking distances and improve traction performance on snow-covered roads. Featuring a wide circumferential center channel and oblique grooves open to the shoulders, the MP 62 All Weather Evo rubber ensures an efficient evacuation of water from the contact spot area, providing very good resistance to aquaplaning. The range is sized from 13 to 17 inches in diameter. With a reasonable price and high performance, the Matador MP 62 All Weather Evo tire is prepared for all weather conditions. With the full acquisition of Matador shares in 2009, the German manufacturer Continental opened a new distribution-logistics center for Central and Eastern Europe in Puchov. In May 2010, Continental opened a new production plant in Puchov in order to increase the company's production capacity of passenger tires and light truck tires.
