The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres are MP (Max Performance) summer tyres designed for powerful sports cars, performance coupes or high-performance sedans and passionate driving drivers who want a combination of performance, handling and control, durability and increased traction but also outstanding braking performance on dry or wet roads. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 redefines the performance of sports car tyres as well as the expectations of their drivers, with manufacturer Goodyear making significant efforts in tyre development, backed by more than 36,000 hours of engineering that include more than 5,000 tests including 1,200 road tests and 3,800 tests at five test sites in five countries, covering a total of 330,000 km. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres will replace the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 tyres. A key feature is Active Braking technology that increases contact surface and braking grip and allows for a shorter braking distance. In addition, the new Grip Booster rubber compound with viscous resin provides strong grip for shorter braking and handling performance on wet and dry roads. The new Reinforced Construction technology ensures the achievement of a lightweight and solid structure that generates steering precision and durability and improves handling, cornering performance and fuel efficiency, and reduces tread wear. The test results commissioned from TUV Sud Benchmark confirmed the strengths of the tyre: 9 percent better wet braking distance, 4 percent better dry braking distance, 4 percent better wet handling, 10.9 percent better rolling resistance, all compared to the average of 3 reference models (Michelin Pilot Sport 3, Bridgestone Potenza S001, Continental Sport Contact 5). The tread pattern is close
