MICHELIN Alpin 5 225/45 R17 91 V RunFlat E B 68 A Winter Tyre

Description

In 2014 the major tyre manufacturer Michelin produces the new Michelin Alpin 5 winter tyres, setting new standards for winter performance. The construction of this range of tyres took into account the unpredictable weather conditions in winter and the avoidance of road accidents that are in increasing numbers during the cold season. These winter tyres come as a lesson for the European market, with rubber compounds and built-in technologies demonstrating how important it is to have the right tyres for the right season. As we well know, many consumers choose a tyre based on price or recommendations from friends, but few really know the characteristics of the product they are buying. Moreover, almost no one knows that behind every new model of tires there are tests and studies that have been going on for years and that involve a circle of experts from different fields. From physicists, chemists and engineers to determine the right compounds to experts in the field of road accidents to prevent any unpredictable situation in winter. The research center at the University of Desdra that analyzed more than 12,000 accidents, with 400 study factors for each of them, confirms very important things that show us how important tires are in winter in winter. 92 percent of road accidents in winter occur on wet or dry roads, while only 8 percent occur on snow or ice, which is why we can dispel the myth that winter tires believe that winter tires will only help on snow-covered surfaces. Also, 1 in 3 accidents happen on wet roads at low temperatures, but only 16 percent occur in curves, so a high-performance winter tire should ensure maximum safety in all conditions and on any surface. Thanks to data transmitted from Meteo France it was found that during the winter, in
