In 1867, the lawyer J.G. Bideau became a partner and co-shareholder together with Ernest Daubree, the son of Edouard Daubree and the one who took over the family business from his father. After more than two decades, Edouard Michelin closed his painting studio in Paris in order to take over the management of the company where his brother worked. On this occasion, the name of the company changed to Michelin and Co, a name still known today.
