Description
MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2 N3 tyres are high-performance, asymmetrical tyres developed for sports car drivers, which provide steering precision and improved handling, reduced rolling resistance, low fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions. The tread of these Pilot Sport PS2 N3 tyres features special rubber and silica compounds to provide superior dry handling, a large silicon surface area for wet traction and high molecular weight polymers to optimise stiffness. These materials are blended into an asymmetrical design with a large, solid outer shoulder to increase cornering traction. The acronym N shows that it is a Porsche-approved tyre and the increasing number (from 0 to 6) reflects improvements over the previous generation of the same model. The first Pilot Sport PS2 summer tyres have been included as standard equipment for the BMW Z8 Alpina, McLaren SLR and Porsche model waves. The hybrid silicon-carbon blend in the composition of these summer tyres starts on the outside of the shoulder and continues transversely across the tread to increase grip in rainy weather. The silicon-rich compound continues on the inside of the shoulder to enhance the dry grip of these tyres. Wide circumferential grooves eject from the tread to amplify traction on wet surfaces and reduce the risk of aquaplaning. Internally, these Michelin summer tyres include two strong steel cable belts, further strengthened by optimised calibration to resist tyre distortion and provide resistance at high speeds. In 1889 the two brothers André and Edouard Michelin set up a business to develop modern transport solutions. The car tyre manufacturer Michelin started its activity in Romania in 2001 and owns three factories, a retreading workshop and aWhat customers are saying
