Launched in 2021, the Continental SportContact 7 summer tyres are UUHP (ultra-high performance) tyres with an asymmetrical profile designed for sports and super-sports cars, which give drivers the feeling of confidence, safe and stable driving behaviour on wet and dry surfaces, oriented towards handling and with high mileage, so that they can simply enjoy the pleasure of driving at the highest level. SportContact 7 is the next step over the SportContact 6 and uses the best technology that Continental has to offer and a specific design for each vehicle class to ensure that, regardless of the vehicle used, the best performance will be ensured. In tests carried out on the race track, mileage has increased by 10 percent compared to the previous model, and braking distances on wet terrain are reduced by 8 percent. The new SportContact 7 is also 6 percent better for dry braking and the service life is 17 percent longer (tests with 245/30 R 20 tyre size). The SportContact 7 uses the tried-and-tested BlackChilli tyre compound to deliver improved grip and optimal braking performance like no other tyre in the Continental range. The tread pattern that has been specifically designed to match the BlackChilli compound optimises the tyre's durability to deliver long-lasting driving performance. Now, with the BlackChilli 3 rubber compound, this tyre offers even lower rolling resistance, making it perfect for use on electric vehicles, capable of maximising battery life while being able to cope with the extreme torques they produce. With its asymmetrical, adaptive tread design, the new SportContact 7 can mould to dry or wet roads, so its road holding remains consistently high and safe, even at high speeds.
