Description

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is an ultra-high-performance summer tyre that replaces the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyre model. Launched in April 2019, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 summer tyre is part of the range of ultra-high performance (UHP) street tyres that benefit from all the innovative technologies developed by Goodyear for racing. The significant improvements, compared to the previous version, are in wet braking, but the new summer tyre also offers greater handling on dry without compromising on comfort and rolling noises. Borrowing from the technology used in the development of racing tyres, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 summer tyre has a special rubber compound that ensures efficient behaviour in the rain, but without compromising grip and handling on dry surfaces. Thus, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tyre model ensures better braking performance in wet asphalt conditions, the braking distance in these conditions being 4 percent shorter than the previous Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 model. Designed as a multifunctional summer tyre, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 has an asymmetrical profile which, together with the tyre's rigid casing, offers greater precision and stability when cornering and a higher level of grip on dry surfaces.
