Description

Founded in 1942 under the name Heung-A Tire Company, the NEXEN tire manufacturer has been on the market for over 70 years. In 1956 NEXEN became the first Korean manufacturer of automotive tires. In 1985 only radial tires were produced at the plant in Yangsan, Korea, and 6 years later in collaboration with Ohtsu Tire and Rubber in Japan, NEXEN began the development of production facilities. Wanting to reflect the company's commitment to quality and innovation, the company changed its name to Nexen Corporation in 2000. The name NEXEN is a combination of two powerful future-oriented words: the next and the century. Currently, the Korean tire manufacturer has also entered the European market and responds to the needs of drivers in the budget segment.
