The new NOKIAN iLine asymmetrical summer tyres, available from spring 2016, are designed for small and medium-sized family cars and can be used for the Central European summers. Drivers who want a pleasant driving sensation as well as uncompromising safety for any summer weather can turn to this light-rolling tyre that offers environmentally friendly and economical driving comfort. The innovative Silent Groove Design creates hemispherical cavities on the walls of the circumferential ribs similar to the surface of a golf ball to control the airflow between the grooves and reduce noise levels, both inside and outside the vehicle, making driving pleasant and quiet. The Silent Groove Design also reduces air resistance, which cools the surface of the tyre. This improves the wear resistance of the tyre and gives the driver more kilometres travelled. The unique Venturi profiled grooves, located between the shoulder blocks, accelerate the drainage of water whose flow speed increases at the point of constriction, being quickly removed between the tyre and the road surface, effectively preventing aquaplaning. The new all-environmentally friendly silicon dioxide compound ensures excellent wet grip and low rolling resistance at all temperatures. Pine oil added to the rubber compound improves wear resistance. NOKIAN iLine tyres are available in 24 sizes from 155/70R13 75 T to 205/55R16 91 H.
