Description
The major Japanese tyre manufacturer BRIDGESTONE is developing the new Blizzak LM001 winter tyre model for the compact and mid-size range of vehicles, starting in September 2014. Bridgestone tyre models are renowned for their durability and grip. This type of tyre incorporates innovations in terms of the materials used and the optimised tread with a symmetrical V-profile. These features guarantee immediate steering response, increased safety and superior levels of grip in any unpredictable winter conditions. In testing, the new sipes of this BRIDGESTONE Blizzak LM001 are one step ahead of its predecessor LM-32S in terms of service life and handling on snow. With the development of these winter tyres, Bridgestone is showing us the latest technologies in shell design and construction, giving drivers excellent levels of safety and control on any surface. The symmetrical directional pattern generates shorter braking distances in snow than the previous winter tyre model. The modern groove design promises a bite effect on slippery surfaces. At the same time, this new design improves service life for more kilometres driven. Drivers will feel much safer in the rain, thanks to gradually widening ditches and rounded edges of blocks that drain water to the outside faster, thus providing better contact with the road and a shorter braking distance on wet roads. Bridgestone has also applied with the design of these tires in winter to reduce the weight of the carcass, C02 emissions and therefore fuel consumption. Another advantage is the reduced noise level, an advantage gained due to the spread of noise energy through a greater number of steps. The founder of the tire company, Shojiro Ishibasi, laid the foundations of his new business in the yearWhat customers are saying
