Description

NEXEN Winguard WT1 tyres are premium winter tyres with a symmetrical profile for commercial vehicles, which offer outstanding performance on snowy or icy roads, with improved braking and handling on snow, with a more wear-resistant tread and 3D-shaped sidewall to strengthen lateral stiffness. The tread profile is characterized by a system of three continuous grooves on the circumference of the tire, wide and deep and with a polished base and narrow and deep transverse exhaust grooves, two central symmetrical ribs consisting of pairs of parallelepiped 3D blocks with sharp edges and zigzag transverse grooves and solid shoulder blocks with serrated edges and zigzag transverse grooves. The conformation of the 3D blocks provides a high rigidity necessary for stability when driving at high speeds and better braking on snow. The central groove has straight walls and the other two grooves have zigzag walls to streamline drainage and improve performance on wet roads and aquaplaning.
