The new line of Taurus 601 tyres manufactured under licence from the major tyre manufacturer Michelin comes to the aid of drivers on a tight budget and who need medium-performance winter tyres. The directional pattern of this range of winter tyres promises satisfactory performance on any dry, wet or snow- or ice-covered surface. The robust shoulders constructed of rigid and strong blocks ensure good lateral stability and medium grip. The central blocks of this line of winter tyres are provided with numerous grippy edges that offer acceptable levels of performance in all winter conditions. The deep circumferential grooves together with the open shoulders favour the removal of water to the outside to minimise the phenomenon of aquaplaning and to increase traction and safety. The rubber compounds used in the construction of these tires are environmentally friendly and generate a good service life and extended flexibility at low temperatures to have the same performance in any winter conditions. The increased density of the sipes improves grip on slippery surfaces and shortens the braking distance.
