Description
Premium performance tyres, the new MICHELIN Latitude Alpin N1 tyres are homologated by the great car manufacturer Porsche for its sporty SUV models. The large number of performance sipes, the symmetrical directional profile and the technological compounds provide high performance in the cold season for this range of tyres. The Latitude Alpin are MICHELIN tyres equipped with an arrow-shaped profile and a central rib that amplifies maneuverability and traction in a straight line. The central intermediate independent blocks of these tyres in winter ensure increased traction on any type of dry, wet or snow- or ice-covered road. The optimised shoulders are constructed of solid, slightly inclined blocks to shorten braking distance and increase stability and handling when cornering. The bi-directional self-locking grooves of this type of tyre adhere extremely to snow or ice, providing good braking distance and extreme traction when accelerating at any temperature. The Silicon insert brings extra grip on slippery surfaces and extends flexibility at low temperatures. Michelin Stabiligrip technology comes as standard equipment and consists of variable geometry grooves (corrugated on the surface of the tyre and straight on the shoulder), to increase handling on any surface. The wide cylindrical grooves and open shoulders of these tyres in winter cause good water removal to reduce the risk of aquaplaning and increase grip on wet roads. The MICHELIN Group is one of the largest international tyre manufacturers with subsidiaries in 19 countries and hundreds of thousands of employees worldwide. Founded in 1832 in the town of Clermont Ferrand in the Auvergne region, France, MICHELIN manufactures and sells tyres for cars, off-road machinery, bicycles, trucks, heavy machinery and even airplanes.
